Stormy's so interested in the vacuum cleaner and yet he is afraid of it. He certainly didn't like me vacuuming his fur with this attachment! As soon as it was turned off, he was right there to attack the hose!
We're so glad to have him back and healthy after his {very expensive} stay at the vet last week (from Thursday-Monday). He had two urinary blockages and was very sick. We're thankful he didn't block a 3rd time & need surgery! We went to visit him twice while he was there and he purred for us even though he was quite out of it. ♥
Now that he's home he has wet & dry urinary diet change, FortiFlora supplements, antibiotics and painkillers - although he doesn't seem to need those. He's so much healthier and such a little love! Purring all the time and spunky. He's been very vocal and complaining about the reduction in food. We had been overfeeding him & since he's more prone to weight gain on the new diet, we've had to limit him. We decided to up his servings after he jumped on my lap three times to get at my grilled pork chop during dinner the other night! He is still growing after all.

Sorry to read Stormy was sick. :-( Glad the little guy is feeling better.
ReplyDeleteOur cat had urinary issues, too, though not as severe as Stormy's, and was supposed to be on prescription food. He couldn't handle any of the ones they prescribed. As I recall, he refused to eat one (and he isn't fussy) and he threw up every time he had the other. We were supposed to special order Purina's prescription food. Instead, we started buying Purina One Urinary Tract Health formula that's available a lot of places. It's way more affordable, and he has done great with it for a few years now.
ReplyDeletePoor Stormy! Hope all is well now!
