I need to decide where exactly to put it. I like it leaned up next to the little climber so the kids can pour water down from above too. It gives a whole different perspective.
I have a ton of play dishes that are in storage {meant to be rotated from time to time} so I decided to use some of them in this project.
Couple things I discovered:
- {Well I was aware of this…} Pegboard probably isn’t going to hold up to getting wet. We’ll see. For this summer it will be fine. Not sure if it will last longer than that or not.
- I should have kept some bottle caps! The kind that flip open with a spout, like the syrup bottle. The caps add another fun element because the bottle can be filled and then drained when the cap is opened. I’m almost done with some Ketchup so I’ll keep the cap to put on that bottle too.
- It’s fun, fun, fun!
**I had to screw a board to the back to keep the pegboard straight/stiff otherwise it curved in. Perfect now!

ReplyDeleteThat is incredible! You just gave me the best idea! I've been wanting to do a water wall/feature - and wanted to use tubes of some sort, never thought of a hose! And one of ours just burst, so I'm gonna cut it up and use it! Great!!! Yay! Thanks for sharing on It's Playtime!
ReplyDeleteAwesomeness, I am feeling very inspired here!
ReplyDeleteThis is fabulous! We really need to get on the bandwagon and make one of these this Summer! The pegboard is definitely up our alley! Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI really do love water walls and this one is great. I think you'll be surprised how long the peg board lasts - that's if your kids give it a chance to dry out :)
ReplyDeleteWould love for you to come by and link this up to our weekly Friday Outdoor Play link
great water wall I love that it is more portable the some I've seen my girls would love it might have to make a trip to home depot to get the board and stuff. :)
ReplyDeleteFound you from the link up at Greening Sam and Avery. I LOVE this idea! And it sounds like all the things you have planned to add, like bottles with flip lids, will just add to the fun.
ReplyDeleteOh, this is lovely! It's so hot out, it seems silly not to have started one yet! Thanks for the motivation. I can't wait to start this!

ReplyDeleteI love this! Thanks for linking up to last week's Outdoor Play linky - I'm a bit late in getting round to seeing all the posts and didn't feature any this week as I was away on vacation, but I am sharing this now on the Mama Pea Pod facebook page instead. It's so fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this! I'm wondering if you could somehow get it to stand would you be able to use both sides of the peg board? Even if it only lasts a year, it would certainly still be worth it.
ReplyDeleteThis looks amazing and I can't wait to try this with my kids! I hope you don't mind, but I linked this page to my blog http://cmommygo.blogspot.com/ . If you mind, I'll take it down.
