As I was gathering ideas for my space sensory box, I decided that I didn’t want to buy anything. I wanted to make it NOW. So typical of me. I started gathering some odds & ends and that’s what I went with. I realized I have plenty of great things to use for this theme. I did go out & buy the spaced themed TOOB set to add to this {not pictured}.
What’s in it:
- Davinci star shaped pasta colored with Handy Art Liquid watercolors – gray, black, metallic, yellow/gold
- crumbled foil
- bubble wrap
- spoons/tongs
- little foil pie plates
- marbles, bouncy balls {I wanted to include them but I’m very against having these items out}
- stones
- beads
- IKEA bag clips {these things are awesome for whatever you use them for!}
- black & white connecting cubes – not sure what they’re called?
- white balloons filled with flour
- spice jars filled with star beads
- plastic cups
- 2 astronaut toys & NASA truck, shuttles that were my husband’s {he’s almost 41!}
- green slinky pop toobs {cut in pieces}
Favorite items? Spice jars, bubble wrap and flour-filled balloons.
Use what you have! I love going down in to my basement and seeing what I come up with. Lots of stuff down there.
