Today we tried an activity spotted on Pinterest. Actually, it came from a Teach Preschool post! I should have known. Apparently it’s also a Ooey Gooey Lady activity.
The idea is Contact Paper sticky side up taped to a table. The idea showed using pom poms to stick & remove. I loved this idea but thought it needed something more so we added ribbon and lengths of yarn. The ribbon is a little more challenging to remove and allows for more designs. What a fun idea! I like that it’s a sensory activity but it’s one that’s not messy and it involves basic items. Messy is great but sometimes we need something that’s not.
A two year old was working on the left side of the table and a 5 year old at the right side. On the bottom right, an 8 year old made the square/X & heart designs.
Pinterest is amazing if you haven’t been there. So many ideas and a great way to organize them. Way better than bookmarking on your computer. It’s very visual and you can save ideas into folders you create to find them again later. Plus it’s not just ideas you find, but what others find and pin too. So inspiring!
