…if I was abducted by Martians!
1. Camera in his face! I take pictures almost daily. He may not miss this now but he will some day be so glad to look at all these fun pictures from his childhood.
2. Clean jammies. He wears them once and puts them in the laundry. He would run out so fast he’d be begging me to come back and wash some for him!
3. Snuggle time with Mommy at the end of the day. We lay in bed (his or mine) and we talk about the day or read. We’d both miss this time so much!
4. He would miss me getting him ready in the morning for school. He can do it, but needs constant reminders to stay on task. One morning he said “Mom, did I forget anything?” That’s what he needs me for, to make sure he’s remembered everything.
5. Another thing he would miss about me, is the special way we celebrate holidays and make fun on ordinary days. I like to create a memory and that’s often focused around food, special activities and spending quality time together.
6. He would miss the love I have for him & his Daddy. No one else loves him like I do! I’m his Mommy! He would miss me taking him to his games, pushing him to practice piano lessons {ok, I don’t think he’d miss that!}, encouraging him to do his homework and telling him how much I love him all. the. time.
7. He would miss the treats I make for him – Luscious Lemon bars, key lime pie, brownies, cookies and salmon on the grill.
8. Brett would miss me cleaning up his room! He needs my direction to get it really looking nice. And making his bed well. Sometimes he tells me it’s all coming apart {blankets pulled out at the end of the bed.}
9. He would miss all the fun in our house because I wouldn’t be here to provide day care for all his little friends. He loves having kids to play with all and all the activities around for him to participate in.
10. I’m sure there’s much more he would miss {I hope!} but one other thing is being silly together. Telling funny jokes and a little rough-housing. Daddy doesn’t really rough house or wrestle with him. It’s just not his thing. Sometimes Mommy & Brett do it though. : ) Must have something to do with growing up with a brother.
