I loved the creative dramatic play the boys came up with all on their own when one of them discovered the faucet knob on our play kitchen could be unscrewed. They enthusiastically started trying to fix it and asked for the play tools {which were not out at the time}. It was fun to watch them use play tools in the way they’ve seen real tools being used and how serious they were in their play to fix the sink. The working together, communication and FUN was excellent and really couldn’t have been planned.
I’ll be on the lookout for other fun “fix it”/problem solving projects for my group. I found a few fun ideas to try:

LOVE it, love it, want to go and find a sink to fix at our preschool!!
ReplyDeleteThis is my son, every day! He is constantly "fixing" anything and everything he gets his hands on, including his play kitchen.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun the boys are obviously having and I love the official gear they have on!
