Pipecleaner Weaving

I loved this idea I found on Pinterest and so did my kids. I appreciated this activity for it’s many qualities: simple, yet different, quiet AND non-messy, fine motor focused, simple sewing or weaving, resulting in colorful sculptures.

What more could you ask for?

Stormy Goes to Starbucks

My furry friend likes to ride in the car and I take him on short trips to Starbucks {which is less than a mile away, much too close}. He was quickly trained to go to the car, get in and ride there. Then when we get home he looks around like “we’re home already?!” and he gets out and goes into the house. Such a good boy!  Only sometimes does he get cream. He’s happy to just ride along.

Yep, he’s really this awesome! ♥

Platter Chalkboard & Clothespin Snowflake

My chalkboard for January - a platter from Goodwill that I spray painted and then painted with chalkboard paint in the center – and a clothespin snowflake – a 10 minute craft as seen on Under the Table & Dreaming.

Comfort Zone® with D.A.P.®

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Comfort Zone® products for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Do you have a dog?  We love our pets but sometimes we need help with their behaviors. Here's something that may interest you.

We know that pets can get stressed when their environment changes, which often happens during the holiday season when families gather resulting in unfamiliar guests in their home, resulting in extra noise and changes in schedule which may mean changes in their meal times or schedule in general.

Then there's all the extra travel - long car rides, crating for travel or flying. Perhaps your dog is left home for longer periods of time.  All of these changes cause stress for your pet and may trigger misbehavior. Comfort Zone® with D.A.P.® helps reduce stress - related behaviors in cats and dogs by mimicking their natural pheromones that help them feel calm and comfortable in their environment.

Comfort Zone® with D.A.P.® (Dog Appeasing Pheromone) products help control:

  • excessive barking
  • destructive digging
  • chewing
  • house soiling

Comfort Zone® with D.A.P.® helps manage other stress-related behavior such as:

  • behaviors caused by thunderstorms or other loud noises (fireworks)
  • adjusting to a new environment
  • transitions
  • being left alone
  • traveling

Consider Comfort Zone® with D.A.P.® for helping manage nighttime whining during puppy transition from the shelter/breeder to a new home.

There's also a product for cats: Comfort Zone® with Feliway® is 95% effective at reducing scratching and urine marking for cats.
